Design Thinking

Hello guys!

Today, we are going to talk about a very interesting method: Design Thinking. It is an international movement, which is found in some countries and it is being implemented in many educational centers with the objective of involving children in the search for solutions to their problems, not only within their academic environment, also in all the ambits of their lives.

The Design Thinking methodology helps students to develop skills such as cooperation, creativity and innovation. It is about learning by doing and experimenting through a five steps process: feel, imagine, act, share and evaluate.

We can see three important characteristics of this method:

- Work creativity as a key tool for solving problems in any field.
- Strengthen teamwork through open dynamics.
- Promote the capacity for empathy and understanding with other people.

-
-
Here, we leave you a video with which you will understand better the Design Thinking:

We hope you'll like it and apply it to your life.

Thank you,

Best Wiches.

Importance of Physical Education in Primary Education

Hello everyone,

First of all, we want to apologize for our delay in the publication of a new post. For us, it's a difficult task to keep us active.

Today, we are going to focus on talking about the importance of Physical Education, and for this, we will give several reasons such as:

  • It's the only opportunity that some children have to practice physical activity. Because of that, we can observe in our society a lot of children who have problems of obesity.
  • Another point which shows that Physical Education is very important is how children stop being timid thanks to this subject.
  • To learn values, to know how to play like a team, to have a better relationship with his  or her classmates...
  • Thanks to this subject we can motivate our students, and maybe, they will practice some sport in their free time.
Finally, we have to say that it's not enough to do sport, children should follow a healthy diet in order to achieve a healthy life.

What do you think about these things?

Do you think Physical Education is necessary in the Primary School curriculum, or could it be overlooked?

Until next time!

Toothpick´s figures

Hello boys and girls:

Today, we have done a very fun and at the same time didactic activity in class. We used some toothpicks to make figures. We have made a star and a house because they represent our childhood.

On the one hand, the figure of a geometric star, we saw it in the subject of mathematics and also it represents the subject of visual art. On the other hand, the house represents education as ethical values or the union of the family.

We hope you like it!

Cesar Bona, the best teacher in Spain

Hello everyone,

A few days ago we saw the program "Chester in Love", in which a presenter asks a lot of questions questions to the interviewee.

The main theme of this chapter was education. In this program were interviewed the humorist called Eva Hache, the politician Esperanza Aguirre, and also a teacher, whose name is César Bona. The last one was the most important figure for us, because he is absolutely related with education, and also with us, because we are studying in order to be teachers.

First of all, Bona emphasized in the importance of listening to children in order to make them feel that they are an important part of the society. Furthermore, he told that if a person want to succeed in the way of teaching children, it's absolutely necessary  to excite every student. We agree with him in all these things.

Another thing that he explained, it amazed us. When his students have to talk in public, Bona tells them to climb on the desk to express themselves freely, because he says that when he was a child he was very shy, so now, he wants to encourage his students in order to achieve that they could express themselves in public without any fear. Bona thinks, that teachers have to stimulate their students, and in his opinion, schools don't promote it, and children will need all these skills in the future (like talk in public, express themselves without fear, give their opinion...), but they won't know how they have to use them.

Finally, he said a sentence we find very interesting: "All students should feel important".

We hope you will like this synopsis of the program. If you want to learn, and if you want to know more, at the end of this post, you have the link to see the full-program.

See you soon!

  • Here is attached the link so you can enjoy the interview:
